The footage is good and shows some close racing, it does fail to show all the the action, but the voice over does a good job at that with some nice humour. This season could be seen as the turning point in Formula 1, as this season saw the death of three drivers, Piers Courage, Bruce McLaren and Jochen Rindt. Rindt had such a successful season up until his death at Monza he went on to become the World Champion, but sadly did not live to celebrate his triumph. With this sad story the DVD is compelling, watching Rindt win four Grand Prix in a row. The stands are packed out with fans at each race and shows how popular Formula 1 was in 1970. This season is before the sport became so technical and professional, with the drivers' wives or girlfriends taking down lap times. It is worth remembering that Duke sell the whole decade of Formula 1 DVDs from 1970-1979 as a box set which does work out cheaper if you are buying all the DVDs from the collection...a good season review with a sad story to tell" Track and Race Cars.
